The Story
My Story
La Luce is a flower farm based in Revelstoke, BC that sells floral arrangements all grown and arranged by
Christina Salvo.
La Luce (pronounced lu-che) is Italian for "the Light." Flowers, and my flower garden, are my light (among several others).
My love for flowers began early. I grew up in Los Angeles, California and every Sunday my Grandma would bring us flowers from the Farmer's Market. It was such a treat. Seeing the vibrant colors. Smelling the fragrances.
It brought instant smiles.
As I grew up my love for flowers grew too. The magic they possess to brighten a day. The nostalgia they carry in a single smell. They are just happy. A reminder of simple beauty.
I used to dream that one day I would be able to have fresh flowers in every room of my house. In 2019 my family and I moved from L.A. to Revelstoke. The move provided me with an opportunity to grow a flower garden and I became addicted. The "hobby" quickly grew into what some may say is now an "obsession." I was not only filling each room in my house with fresh flowers, but multiple jars of fresh flowers and still giving bouquets to friends and neighbors. So this year I decided to extend into the community of Revelstoke and share the joy and "the light" flowers bring me with you.

From Seed to Soul.

The Garden
La Luce
I love the feeling of creating. And there is nothing better than watching a flat patch of dirt transform into a tall, colorful and bustling garden. All of my plants I grow myself from seed. From Seed to Soul.
The garden is pesticide free. I try to promote a natural and balanced ecosystem that uses beneficial bugs to get rid of the pests.
I also grow as many pollinator friendly flowers as possible. The Earth gives us beautiful gifts, it is our job to say thank you and take care of her.

The Arrangements
Each floral arrangement is kept within a specific color pallet. For me, it invites my eye into the arrangement and slowly guides me from one flower to the next noticing the nuances of each flower's distinct color and structure. Sometimes less, is more.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know my flowers and my story. I hope my flowers bring a smile to your heart as they are grown with love and gratitude, from my home to yours.
And Thank you to all those other "lights" in my life who have supported me and encouraged me to take a passion and turn it into a business.
